Welcome to the Tiverton Hunt (in Mid-Devon, area 15) branch of the UK Pony Club.

Tiverton Pony Club Open event dates for 2013:

• Open One Day Event at Treborough Cross-country, Sunday 30th June. (Schedule now available)
• Open Summer Show at Pond Farm, Cullompton, Sunday 18th August.
• Open Hunter Trial at Treborough Cross-country, Sundfay 8th Sept
• We also hope to run a mini Tri/Tetrathlon in late summer, to be confirmed.

General Information about the Pony Club.

The Pony Club is a national charity, originally founded in England in 1929 but which has since spread to many countries around the world. There is a UK site, and a WWW search will turn up many sites in the US, Australia and elsewhere. (See the links page.)

The purpose of the Pony Club is to:

• To encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with horses and riding.
• To provide instruction in riding and horsemanship, and to instill in members the proper care of their animals.
• To promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty, thereby cultivating strength of character and self-discipline.

 

Membership is open to boys and girls up to the age of 17, and those aged 18 to 25 can be associate members: see Membership for more information.
